2024 has been a pivotal year for W&S Plastics, marked by many key events and activities. Over the past months, we have shared updates and achievements that reflect the company’s ongoing growth and progress. This year-end summary captures some of the most significant milestones and developments that have defined our journey throughout 2024.

Sustainability at the Core

One of our most significant achievements this year was completing the ISCC PLUS Certification process. This internationally recognised accreditation validates our innovative approach to sustainable plastics manufacturing. Integrating polymers from advanced recycling into our processes ensures that our products meet the highest environmental standards. This milestone not only enhances the transparency of our supply chains but also positions us as a leader in the circular economy, and offers customers a new approach to meet the growing demand for environmentally conscious products.

Empowering Local Manufacturing

As a family-run business since 1978, W&S Plastics has always supported Australian manufacturing. This year, we celebrated Australian Made Week by reflecting on our journey from a small business to a company operating 52 molding machines across 8,000 square meters. In an interview during Australian Made Week, Managing Director Andrew Wiseman highlighted how the company has remained committed to local production while adapting to changing demands, with the third generation of the family now part of the team.

Premises Expansion and Future Readiness

To meet growing demand and prepare for future opportunities, we expanded our premises in Moorebank, Sydney. Acquiring a neighbouring facility has increased our storage capacity by 600 pallet spaces and enabled smoother production, warehousing, and dispatch operations. The additional space also accommodates larger machinery, empowering us to take on more complex manufacturing projects.

Investing in People

At W&S Plastics, we believe that our people are our greatest asset. This year, we highlighted the journey of our apprentice die-setter, Liam, who balances hands-on training with TAFE coursework. His experience demonstrates our commitment to nurturing local talent and equipping the next generation of manufacturers with the skills they need to succeed.

Beyond individual stories, our team’s dedication and expertise have driven the company’s growth and innovation throughout the year.

Supplier Excellence Highlighted in Cabot’s EasyDeck™ project

W&S Plastics was honoured to receive recognition as Cabot’s Supplier of the Year at Dulux Group’s Annual Awards function for our work on the Cabot’s EasyDeck™ decking refresher project.

This award celebrates our commitment to delivering innovative, high-quality manufacturing solutions, with the EasyDeck™ project showcasing our ability to manage the entire production process under one roof. From sourcing components and molding applicator parts to precision assembly, in-house printing, and retail-ready packaging, every step was executed with efficiency and attention to detail.

Innovations in Technology and Processes in Australia and Malaysia

2024 was a year of technological advancements at W&S Plastics. From modernising injection molding techniques with state-of-the-art machines to refining ultrasonic welding methods, we’ve invested heavily in cutting-edge technologies. These advancements enable us to produce high-quality, precise products while reducing lead times and improving efficiency.

Our clean room technology remains critical to our manufacturing process for sensitive and high-precision products. These contamination-free environments, operating in both our Australian and Malaysian facilities, continue to adhere to stringent international cleanroom classifications. Another key initiative highlighted throughout the year was our focus on our in-house printing capabilities, allowing us to provide end-to-end solutions for our customers.

Looking Ahead and Thank You

After another successful year, W&S Plastics remains focused on its mission to innovate and lead advanced manufacturing in Australia.

We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made this success possible. To our customers, suppliers, staff, and partners—thank you for your support, collaboration, and trust.

In 2025, we look forward to continuing our journey of growth and excellence, building on our foundation as a leader in Australian manufacturing.
