W&S Plastics has recently partnered with a new customer that has engaged us to mold and assemble their products.
The products that we will produce for them require extreme cleanliness with very low particle contamination count.
Our Malaysian factory satisfies for all their needs with enough plastic injection moulding capacity available in an environment that has positive pressure, filtered air and satisfies the requirements of ISO 8 Clean Room standard.
We didn’t have enough room for the the special purpose machines required for the manufacture of some components used in the assembly of the products.
The assembly must be done in an ISO 7 Clean Room environment.
So, we have taken a 3,200 m2 factory very close to our original factory and have almost completed building a large clean room within it.
The clean room will be complete in early July with machines and other equipment being installed throughout the next few months.
The plastic injection molds are currently being manufactured and trailed and are being validated through a IQ OQ PQ process for production to commence towards the end of 2022.
Some of our team will travel to the USA later in the year for training by our customer and likewise, some of their production engineers will travel to Malaysia to oversee commissioning and validation of the highly specialized equipment that they are supplying to us.
Full production of assembled parts will begin in January 2023.
W&S Plastics (Malaysia) now has two factories totaling 6,200m2 and 13 plastic injection molding machines from 35tonne to 450tonne clamping capacity.
