W&S Plastics Malaysia Environment, Health and Safety Policy
W&S Plastics Malaysia’s Management is firmly committed to a policy enabling all work activities to be carried out safely as well as to responsibly manage the impact on the environmental with all possible measure taken to eliminate (or reduce) risk to environment, health, safety and welfare of workers, authorized visitors and anyone else who may be affected by our operations.
The management is committed to ensuring that we comply with the following act and regulation :
- ISO 14001:2015
- Environmental Quality Act 1974 (EQA)
- Occupational Safety & Health Act 1994 (OSHA)
- Factories & Machinery Act 1967 (FMA)
Responsibilities
- Management:
- Will provide and maintain as far as possible:
- prevent environmental pollution and conserve natural resources wherever possible
- implement appropriate techniques and waste management practices to protect the environment, public and our employees
- promote environmental awareness among our employees and encourage them to work in an environmentally responsible manner
- communicate our environmental commitment to clients, customers and the public and encourage them to support it
- safe working environment
- safe systems of work
- plant and machinery in safe condition
- facilities for welfare of workers
- information, instruction, training and supervision that is necessary to ensure that each worker is safe from injury or risk to health
- a commitment to continually improve our performance through affective safety and environmental management
- Worker:
- Each worker has an obligation to:
- implement reuse, reduce and recycle in daily work activities
- minimise energy and water use within our buildings and processes in order to conserve supplies and minimise the consumption of natural resources
- comply with safe work practices, with the intent of avoiding injury to themselves and others plus damage to plant and machinery
- wear personal protection equipment (PPE) provided for preventing any risk to safety and health
- report all accidents and incidents on the risk immediately
- report all known or observed hazards to their supervisor or manager

We seek the co-operation of all workers, customers and visitors. We encourage suggestion to create a safer working environment with zero accident.
This policy applies to all business operation of W&S Plastics Malaysia.
